Connie Bond Promoted to 6th Dan, Awarded Shihan Dai Title

Join us in congratulating our longtime International Karate Kobudo Union (IKKU) friend and member, Connie Bond. Connie Bond was recently promoted to the rank of Rokudan, 6th degree Black Belt. As well, Connie is awarded the title of Shihan Dai by Soke Joseph Ruiz, 10th Dan Hanshi-Sei of the IKKU.

Shihan Dai Connie has trained for many years with Kyoshi-Sei Anthony Fournier and his Leadership Karate Dojos in Portland, Maine. She is also a karate historian and has authored a book on Shotokan Karate and it’s founder, Gichin Funakoshi aka The Father of Modern Karate. Shihan Dai Connie runs private Black Belt training sessions from her home on an ongoing basis.

Well done and well deserved, Shihan Dai Connie!
