This event will be Hosted by Kyoshi Kim Blue of the Suansu Karate Kai at his estate in Dexter\, GA. The IKKU Karate Seminar will feature Soke Joseph Ruiz\, 10th Dan and Founder of the Kotosu-Ha Shito-Ryu Karate-Do System. With Soke’s vast kata and bunkai knowledge he always has something good to teach us. You don’t ever want to miss an opportunity to take part in his clinics because the exposure and knowledge available to lower ranks is simply enlightening.  There are both morning and afternoon sessions scheduled including Kata and Bunkai. \nFollowing the events of the day will be the annual supper and festivities. Times will be announced at the clinic\, usually starting around 6:00 pm. Come ready to rekindle old friendships and make new ones. DESCRIPTION:2021 IKKU Christmas Karate & Kobudo Clinic – Christmas Celebration\n\nDecember 4 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm\n\n\n\nThe 2021 IKKU Christmas Karate & Kobudo Clinic – Christmas Celebration will be hosted at Suansu Karate Kai in Dexter\, GA.\nPlease join us for our annual IKKU Christmas clinic and festivities scheduled Dec. 4\, 2021. This event will be Hosted by Kyoshi Kim Blue of the Suansu Karate Kai at his estate in Dexter\, GA. The IKKU Karate Seminar will feature Soke Joseph Ruiz\, 10th Dan and Founder of the Kotosu-Ha Shito-Ryu Karate-Do System. With Soke’s vast kata and bunkai knowledge he always has something good to teach us. You don’t ever want to miss an opportunity to take part in his clinics because the exposure and knowledge available to lower ranks is simply enlightening.  There are both morning and afternoon sessions scheduled including Kata and Bunkai. \nFollowing the events of the day will be the annual supper and festivities. Times will be announced at the clinic\, usually starting around 6:00 pm. Come ready to rekindle old friendships and make new ones. Please bring your favorite dish and your favorite beverages for the evening event. A white elephant gift exchange is planned so each person should bring a gift (male or female)\, with a maximum cost of $10. Participants will need to bring Katana\, Hakama\, and Cleaning Kit\, (if they are available).\nBokken Jitsu\, (Wooden Sword) featuring The Tachi Kata and Tachi Cuts. Open to all ranks and ages. This event will be Hosted by Hanshi Ron Downton of the Tora Shin Karate Kai in Social Circle\, GA.  and Kyoshi-Sei Larry Griffin of the Keishin Kai Karate Kai. Please join us in showing your support for the Black Belts that have put in the sweat and time on the floor for this special day. \nPlease email Kyoshi1@bellsouth.net if you plan to ATTEND.\nWith the continuing concern for the health and well-being for our IKKU family\, the following changes are in place for September 26. \n\nBlack Belt testing will still be held at the Tori-Shin Hombu Dojo on Saturday\, September 26.  Same time applies.\nThere will not be a workshop and fish fry that afternoon and evening.  These events will be rescheduled for a later date.\nAttendance to the Black Belt testing will be strictly LIMITED to the following:\na. Those testing for Black Belt\, their immediate family and their designated UKE.\nb. Rokudan (6th Dan) and HIGHER DAN ranks.\n\nThese changes are in no means meant to exclude or offend anyone\, but strictly an effort to minimize exposure for all.  We felt it was imperative not to postpone testing for those that have put so much time\, effort and preparation to getting ready for their moment in front of SOKE.  We appreciate everyone’s understanding with these decisions.  Please pass on to anyone we might have missed.  \n\nBE SAFE out there.

DESCRIPTION:Due to the uncertain situation with the CoronaVirus\, this Event IS CANCELLED. \nThis Event Will Be Incorporated Into the IKKU Summer Camp Scheduled In June.\nThe 2020 IKKU Bokken and Iaido Clinic\nPlease join us for our annual IKKU Bokken and Iaido Clinic on April 18\, 2020. This event will be Hosted by Kyoshi-Sei Larry Griffin of the Keishin Karate Kai.  The IKKU Bokken and Iaido Clinic will feature Soke Joseph Ruiz\, 10th Dan and Founder of the Kotosu-Ha Shito-Ryu Karate-Do System. Soke always has something good to teach us\, so you don’t ever want to miss an opportunity to take part in his clinics. There will be morning and afternoon sessions including Seitei Gata and Kata. \nThe Sword and Bokken are true Japanese Arts. Soke Ruiz learned the art while training with his teachers in Hawaii and Japan. He continued his training in the U.S. with Soke Shogo Kuniba\, 10th Dan\, Seishin Kai Karate Union. This is a rare opportunity to train in a true Japanese Martial Art unlike any other. \nKoga-Ryu Iaido – (The Art of the Sword)\nLimited to Brown & Black Belts\, Age 16 and older with permission of parent and Instructor.\nParticipants need to bring Sword\, Hakama and Cleaning Kit\, (if available). \nBokken Jitsu – (Wooden Sword)\nOpen to all ranks and ages. DESCRIPTION:The 2019 IKKU Christmas Karate & Kobudo Clinic – Christmas Celebration will be hosted at Suansu Karate Kai in Dexter\, GA.\nPlease join us for our annual IKKU Christmas clinic and festivities scheduled Dec. 7\, 2019. This event will be Hosted by Kyoshi Kim Blue of the Suansu Karate Kai at his estate in Dexter\, GA. The IKKU Karate Seminar will feature Soke Joseph Ruiz\, 10th Dan and Founder of the Kotosu-Ha Shito-Ryu Karate-Do System. With Soke’s vast kata and bunkai knowledge he always has something good to teach us. You don’t ever want to miss an opportunity to take part in his clinics because the exposure and knowledge available to lower ranks is simply enlightening.  There are both morning and afternoon sessions scheduled including Kata and Bunkai. \nFollowing the events of the day will be the annual supper and festivities. DESCRIPTION:The 2019 IKKU Bokken and Iaido Clinic will take place at the American Legion Hall in Buford\, GA\nPlease join us for our annual IKKU Bokken and Iaido Clinic on April 27\, 2019\, in Buford\, GA. This event will be Hosted by Kyoshi-Sei Larry Griffin of the Keishin Karate Kai.  The IKKU Bokken and Iaido Clinic will feature Soke Joseph Ruiz\, 10th Dan and Founder of the Kotosu-Ha Shito-Ryu Karate-Do System. Soke always has something good to teach us\, so you don’t ever want to miss an opportunity to take part in his clinics. There will be morning and afternoon sessions including Seitei Gata and Kata. \nThe Sword and Bokken are true Japanese Arts. Soke Ruiz learned the art while training with his teachers in Hawaii and Japan. He continued his training in the U.S. with Soke Shogo Kuniba\, 10th Dan\, Seishin Kai Karate Union.
