Does Your Organization Provide Quality Leadership?
  • The Director of the International Karate Kobudo Union (IKKU) is a legitimate Leader with over 50 years in the Martial Arts, including many years training in the Orient. He is the founder of the IKKU and of Kotosu-Ha Shito-Ryu Karate-Do and holds the rank of 10th Dan. Kotosu-Ha Shito-Ryu Karate-Do is an offspring of Motobu-Ha and Kuniba-Ha Shito-Ryu Karate Do, Koga-Ryu Kobudo, Katsu-Ryu Kempo, Zen Shoto Kai Karate Do. He is also a member of the World Head of Family Sokeship Council. He is recognized worldwide.
Does Your Organization Provide you with Informative Materials?
  • The IKKU issues a “Chief Instructors’ Guide  to all of its Chief Instructors.
  • We are open to all Martial Arts styles as well as all Traditional Japanese and Okinawan styles of karate, so that its members can profit from an interchange of fresh ideas.
  • It provides DVD’s of Kata and Kata Bunkai as well as Kobudo, to its members on request.
  • The Headquarters replies to all written inquiries immediately, thus assuring prompt service.
Does your Organization Provide Ample Opportunity for Quality Instruction?
  • The IKKU has an Annual Summer and Winter Camp, which all members are encouraged to attend. Attendees receive hard traditional training and are provided excellent opportunities to learn.
  • The IKKU host an Annual Karate and Kobudo Tournament that all members may attend, plus quarterly workshops.
Does your Organization Provide Legitimate Quality Certifications?
  • The Director of the IKKU issues Internationally recognized certificates.
  • The IKKU issues each member Dojo a registered school Charter (certificate).
  • It provides graded Instructor’s Certificates and Appointments both in Karate and Kobudo.
Is your Organization Economical?
  • The IKKU offers several economical offerings for membership
    • The Annual membership fee is $35 per year, per student.
    • Lifetime memberships are $150
    • Associated Memberships are $100 per year.
  • The cost of certificates range from $25 to a maximum of $80 for 5th Dan Black Belt.

Getting more than you figured on is a rarity these days, but the way we see it, the more we give–the more you will want to become a member of the IKKU. It’s as simple as that!  And the least we can do is see you get it.
