Kita Kaze Karate Kai offers Traditional Okinawan and Japanese Warrior Arts for Adults and Children

Each year, the Gwinnett Daily Post hosts the Reader’s Choice Awards, in which readers nominate their favorite businesses, attractions, and places within the Atlanta area. Nominations ended on March 31st and the top companies from each category moved onto the voting phase where readers began voting on April 22nd with Winners announced on June 30th. Gwinnett Daily Post has sponsored the Reader’s Choice Awards for the last six years and all the nominees and winners are 100 percent chosen by their local readers. There were approxiamtely 30,000 nominations this year and 60,000 votes cast during the open voting period.

Thank you to the Gwinnett Daily Post and all the supporters that voted for Kita Kaze Karate Kai as Best Martial Arts Training Facility in the Atlanta Area. Kita Kaze Karate Kai is a sanctioned Dojo under the International Karate Kobudo Union – IKKU which was established in 1986. The IKKU is proud and honored to see the positive impact that Shihan Dai Michael Hoffman and Kita Kaze Karate Kai has had on the local Sugar Hill community. This accolade speaks to the superior level of Traditional Okinawan and Japanese Martial Arts training that both the IKKU and Kita Kaze Karate Kai strives to provide to all members.

Kita Kaze Karate Kai is operated by Shihan Dai Michael Hoffman who has 50 yrs Experience in Traditional Warrior Arts. Shihan Dai Hoffman provides Martial Arts Training in Kotosu-Ha Shito-Ryu Karate, Katsu-Ryu Kempo, Koga-Ryu Kobudo and Iaido. Shihan Dai Hoffman recognizes that children are the lifeblood of of our Martial Art so he invests countless hours of his personal time in helping to develop and shape these young practioners into seasoned and respected Karateka. Practioners of these arts are taught disipline, respect and honor which we deem necessary to develop and sustain positive role models for our surrounding neighborhoods and communities.
